BJORK/In the Musicals

Selma Songs has definitely got to be one of the best film (Dancer In the Dark) soundtrack albums...not to mention one of her better albums in my opinion...

♪ you are always there to catch me....when I fall! Thanks God ♥!

BJORK/Virus

lol i LOVE it!!! This is off Bjork's latest album Biophilia...i really love how this album is all about the natural world...and yes, I am particularly amused that there is a song all about a virus...it is so refreshing after the overdone theme of love and unrequited love. It's like...get some originality! THANK YOU Bjork!! :)

It really is amazing actually how the instrumentalism of this song really does convey that sense of the "organic"- the chaos yet order of an organism...alive!

Sigur Ros/Gobbledigook

This is my favourite song this weekend...Gosh I love the Icelandic people...talk abourt great attire! And what is it about their unique environment that produces such great music?

I would love to be Icelandic...especially if I could be as cute as Bjork (lol) but heck I'd take any part of Scandinavia I think -being able to speak in their cool sounding tongues alone would be worth it :)

ARVO PART/Spiegel im Spiegel

Thanks to my cultured photographer net friend VZ my world has been enlightened with the music of Arvo Part...loooove *swoons* lol

Please enjoy :)

p.s a fantastic interview with Arvo by Bjork(how cute is her accent!)

Bjork/Venus as a Boy

I can just imagine if I had been born a boy...I'm in that kind of "off with the fairies" daydreaming mode today...

This is my fav song off DEBUT - or, a toss up with PLAY DEAD.

BJORK/In the Musicals

edit: here is a pretty cool dance video clip to the song

If you are a BJORK fan and do not own the album "Selmasongs" a.k.a Soundtrack for Lars Von Trier's "Dancer in the Dark"...YOU NEED TO GO AND BUY IT!!!

This little beauty has been hidden collecting dust on my shelf for a while cos I'd forgotten about it! But it is absolutely fantastic!

Unfortunately the sound in this clip cuts out half way...even more so why you should go buy the album for the song in full!

Anyway hopefully if I listen to this song enough I will get the *zing* I need to get through my mountains of work today...Yikes!

BJORK/Innocence

okay sorry, I get into these BJORK moods- and plus I picked up Volta for a cool $13 today :D!great album...

I think this song resonates with my inherent complexity and contradiction very nicely. and it's a pretty cool clip.

when i was once fearless
innocence roared, still amazes
untouchable innocence
it's still here but in different places

BJORK/Dull Flame of Desire

This is my fav song off VOLTA

i love your eyes my dear...their splendid, sparkling fire...

BJORK/Wanderlust

Wanderlust! relentlessly craving
Wanderlust! peel off the layers
Until we get to the core

Relentless restlessness
Liberates me (sets me free)

I just want to be many many miles from here...I think I am just sick of the scenery for now...I definitely have WAN-DER-LUST! Need some fresh air. New inspiration.

This is a pretty cool clip-reminds me of Japanese anime...

BJORK/Who is it

LOL it's obviously a Bjork day today. This is my fav track off Medulla...This clip...lol can't help but make me grin...we Scorpio chicks sure aren't...boring! ;)

BJORK/Unison

At this time where I'm in deep contemplation over Yin and Yang(as a matter of necessity :p), I appreciate the irony of being particularly drawn to this beautiful song by Bjork, "Unison".

Bjork is definitely one of my all-time favourite musicians, public figures and performers, with an amazing voice and distinctly unique character ;) Sadly, still never seen her live yet...we Southern Hemisphere people are totally neglected...p.s The creative arrangement and instrumentalisation is a real pleasure in this clip...plus, I am very partial to harps and this one very impressively features one - yay!

Birthday/The Sugarcubes

Forgive me, just a gratuitous post to celebrate cos this has got to be one of my most favourite songs of all time EVER! I'm so grateful to have made it this far cos not everyone gets to be my age(!)

Cheers to a great day if you happen to be A Birthday Twin :-D

The Sugarcubes - Birthday (Live)

Best song by Bjork EVER!! Interesting live version... she has a truly great presence live...love her AMaZinG Vocals, her Q(uirk) Factor, her originality, her passion, her beauty. The woman is TRUE GENIUS and SO Refreshing. LOVE.
