THE NATIONAL/Conversation 16

Hehe still deeply and happily ensconced in this album :D

Conversation 16 has to be the stand out song on the High Violet album for me...by a nose...from other favourites notably Sorrow, Terrible Love and of course Runaway.

Anycase enjoy....the picture's pretty bad but the sound on this clip is fantastic! Best Cannibal Love song ever, lol.

THE NATIONAL/Runaway

Finally got my stereo setup and all my cds transported and have been enjoying THE NATIONAL's latest album High Violet....this song in particular makes particularly good musing/time out music cos it's so mellow...
So carpet kinda sucks acoustics wise compared to the luxurious sound afforded by floorboards (now completely muted sound) but hey, glad to have my music!

BABYBIRD/ You're Gorgeous

Reminiscing...this song I discovered by accident...very much reminds me of that great coming of Age series THE WONDER YEARS.

and also KD Lang's "Simple"....that is pure..."essence" in a song, what can I say "Beauty in Simplicity!" All too hard to find these days :( KD is really some kind of angel...you can so easily imagine her flanked on either side by gigantic fluffy white wings!
