GOLDFRAPP: Road to Somewhere

The new album 'Seventh Tree' has gotten some pretty harsh reviews e.g Pitchfork described it as "sonic dishwater".

I disagree. I think it's a pretty damn good album. And her voice is stunning.

Maybe it's cos I'm not familiar with the previous stuff- I had no expectations. The sound is yes, mellow (and a bit folksy), but brings to mind a mix of...Cocteau Twins, Madonna, Beatles, Feist...

In any case, this is arguably the best song on the album- well my favourite anyway. Enjoy...

Goldfrapp: A&E

I like this song! The first time I heard of Goldfrapp was in the movie Hard Candy but this sounds a lot mellower...as to whether I like GOLDFRAPP the band, gotta hear more stuff!

Xavier Rudd: No Woman No Cry

I can't believe how ignorant I am...I only just heard Aussie muso Xavier Rudd for the first time today! Anyway in light of how much I love this Bob Marley song...here is the Xavier Rudd rendition...

also, check out the second clip...one of his songs - 12th September- check out the cool guitar and didgeridoo playing!!!(just random cos i haven't heard much of his stuff to have a favourite yet)...I love the laid back easy going sound - he seems like a really cool person not just a talented musician!
