Arcade Fire/Keep the Car Running (Coachella 2007)

LOL...lots of curling up to sleep, chocolate, music and art later my car is now running again after going AWOL the last few days cos the fuel tank had totally run empty!

Love this very fun song by Arcade Fire- always makes me feel like jumping up and down :)

If I ever get on that long haul flight to CA I really want to go to Coachella...

World Music Spotlight: TCHEKA

Knowing that I love world music, especially YOUSSOU N'DOUR(Senegal) and African music in general, my mate was telling me about the newer popstars out of Cape Verde(prior I had only known about Cesaria Evora)...anyhow it was when I was checking out one of his recommendations: Lura, that I stumbled across the amazing voice of TCHEKA!!

Aussie Music: Does anyone remember THE HUMMINGBIRDS?!!

Arguably the cream of Aussie *POP* music in 1989 onwards...well yeah it was all the rage to me as a 9 year old LOL clip two is particularly daggy (was My Favourite back then LOL) but the video is an interesting documentation of Australia at that time.
