WHITLEY/More than Life

I discovered this aussie folk band while conscientiously going through sampling every single album on Qantas Music. So anyway I quite liked the easy going folkiness of THE SUBMARINE.

I particularly found this song very indie film soundtrack-y...in particular if I was watching a silent film portraying the end of days and the rapture :-o...yeah I think this song is very fitting...

I liked their rendition of the WHAM classic...but then again I'm biased...an 80s girl and a WHAM fan :D

Confession: Radiohead is my favourite indulgence when I am moping...something that I've indulged since I was a teen :-o!

Anyway strangely it makes me feel better- it's kinda morose but at the same time something about his vocals...I find uplifting.

Selma Songs has definitely got to be one of the best film (Dancer In the Dark) soundtrack albums...not to mention one of her better albums in my opinion...

I'll run 'til I finish the race! LOL I find this song an especially inspirational kick start to the morning lately especially since I have a HIGHLY FRENZIED 2 week deadline threatening to ram up my ass! (sorry for being so eloquent, lol...sometimes to convey urgency you just need to be crude and unrefined, lol)


In any case the other thought permeating my mind of late...Darkness cannot exist in the Presence of Light.

COLDPLAY/Paradise

awww haven't you always wanted to dress up in a furry animal costume? I have! The Elephants are SO CUTE! And this clip convinces me that it would be a lot of fun...

So I pretty much ignored looking into the MYLO XYLOTO album but since Channel 7 keeps playing this song over and over in clips for a tv series called "Revenge" I couldn't help but get a bit addicted to the song...

so maybe (true to form) I will have to go and buy the entire album due to liking one song? sad, I know. But hopefully it will be an album with at least a few good songs that warrants its purchase... On a creative front though, I'm still waiting for COLDPLAY to actually have an impressive "wow" video clip...

SNOW PATROL/ Warmer Climate

There is just some kind of X factor about this song....but I can't quite put my finger on it...it seems mundane and boring but it still lures...I guess I just feel pissed that they left it off the Aussie version of the album :P

I guess I must live under a rock! LOL...I only just heard this song for the first time while at a video store...it was one you recognise as an instant hit. Ie immediate gratification to the masses but no long term appreciation...definitely not the most interesting or innovative music experience...but considering all the niche stuff I've been posting I thought I'd post a reprieve of mass generic...

Cos seeing as I've only heard it less than 2 times still, I'm still enjoying it...just! lol

I can listen to this over and over. No wonder he is so spiritual...music like this definitely is of DIVINE inspiration!!! What a gifted genius ^^!

I like the lack of words...

I think this song captures perfectly the atmosphere of a hermit in a cave secluded high up on a mountain where the clouds look like fluffy pillows you could almost jump into...



May 2012 be instilled with a calm, stability and peace that previous years have lacked...2010 was chaos instigating change 2011 was about transition and 2012 is the year for forward progress and growth! :)
